The only thing we know for certain is that we exist. If you can think you exist then you exist because if you didn't exist you wouldn't be able to think you exist, thus something that exists is doing the thinking, therefore making you exist. And that's the only thing, we can't know for certain someone else exists, or this planet is real, or even if we are a butterfly dreaming of being a human being, all we know is we, ourselves, exist.

I've always had this thought that we were just pawns in a futuristic video game called "life", or something, meaning all our motives are influenced by our player. And maybe some insane people would have insane players, and bank robbers would have evil players. And maybe jail is just a ban or restriction from the game for a certain amount of time.
