The graphical style made me feel I had a chance at animation. I loved how he didn't make stupid decision like every modern protagonist, he just kicked ass.

Samurai Jack IMO was the downfall of animation. http://animesquish.org/anime/wp-content/uploads/2009/12/samuraiJ.jpg The style of it is made up of simple shapes composed into a whole ontop of erasing any dark lines (In some cases). The route where the MAJORITY of animators have gone is fast and cheap (Copy and Pasting/Slightly moving body parts, etc) Animation has been destroyed. Flapjack is the only show that is worth watching on Cartoon Network these days.
