What's the rage over capping the secondary stat?

| Why does everyone want to try and cap their secondary stat (in this case str) so low? Is there any difference capping str low, and having all your equips for str and Capping str at say, 100 , and having all your equips for dex? Help me out here, I'm a level 60 gunslinger, right now my str is at 50 because I don't know what to do with it Can I have some of your guys input of the pros and cons of each? Because I really don't understand what's wrong with having your str high so you can wear all the equips and just get them scrolled for dex very nicely. |

 | Any real difference in terms of performance? Nothing really, as long as you have the same total of str from equips if you were low str as total dex from equips if you were normal/high str. The only real difference is basically the available supply and prices for those equips; you're obviously going to have a wider variety of dex scrolls to obtain as opposed to str but at the same time, you're going to be competing with warriors, thieves and bowmen for those scrolls. |

I also read the quote in the outlaw and outlaw only guide, regarding low str, full str, and strless So I have come to my decision that I will be capping at 70 and seeing how that goes. |

[/quote] Not true, scrolling for STR gives you that STR + a 15%boost from whatever extra dex you added from scrolling for that STR. Scrolling for dex just gives the dex. |

| ^ the 15% difference from maple warrior is barely noticable a 40 str base VS a 90 str base = 50 dex base different in dex 50 x 15% = 7.5 dex That's only 1 attack different and str equips is way more expensive than dex |

| I mean that maple warrior boosts base stats only. So if you scroll a cape for 10 STR, you have 10 extra base dex +15% from maple warrior, which means that a 10 STR cape gives you an 11.5 dex boost. A 10 dex cape on the other hand gives you a 10 dex boost. And prescrolled STR pirate overalls don't seem to be any more expensive than DEX ones. And that 7.5 dex is a lot if you put it in terms of equips. How much would it cost to go from a 7 dex to a 14 dex branch nose? 35 to 42 dex z-helm? 15 to 22 dex earrings? Difference between an 11 and a 12 attack PAC? 9 and 10 attack fs? 27 and 28 attack gloves? The more money you make the more worth it that extra dex is. |
