New Launching Setup

So as some of you know after the patch you will have to play maplestory directly from the website. In the update it doesn't mention having insert a PIN to play. Does this mean we will no longer need pins? Or will we be logging into the website then logging into the game in order to start? If PINS are now obsolete it could lead to many people getting hacked since some people have been hacked before, couldn't remember their email to change their password, and only changed their pin. So what do you guys think?

i THINK it might just make you log onto the website and then still log in regularly. but idk, only time will tell =)

I doubt pins will be removed. It is quite of an annoyance to people who don't bother remembering four lousy digits, however they add extra security. And obviously, we need more of that.

*sniff*sniff* i smell more hacked accounts on the way IMO i find that possibly the most stupidist idea in the world to log on into maple via the site hence they did that for combatarms and i myself find it rather annoying to do it.

It starts the client up from the website, it doesn't alter MapleStory in any way except how it opens up. Which means pins are not going to be removed.

Probably will have pins, like combat arms they dont have pins yet but its the same as this patch.

IMO this measure is stupid, and no it will not affect how you log into the game. Basically, I'm pretty sure this update is replacing the launcher that pops up and that shows new updates when you open the maplestory shortcut. Instead, the update will open the same page in your default browser. I honestly don;t see ANY advantage to this. I mean, this launcher is basically a mini-browser already that opens the launcher URL automatically. This is something I have seen implemented in other online games I've played like GUNZ, and in those it has been completely arbitrary and hasn't helped the game in any way...

i HATE this new thing.. its so annoying when games do this.. i want to be able to start maple FAST and not have to wait for my internet to open as well as maplestory to launch.......... and if u can only log on and off on the website then that would make switching between accounts painfully stoopid. "connecting the game experience to the web experience"-my ass. who wants to look at the homepage everytime anyway; event info is usually on the launcher anyway. weeeeee~ screw this. ill get used to it over time~

It said you will basically be logged in to all games at once, so once you've typed up your info to sign into the website, clicking "Launch MapleStory" won't require you to type in your ID and Password again.....But yea, it really doesn't say if there will still be Pins...like i guess it would go like this. *You click "Launch Maplestory"* *Hack-sheild pops up....blah blah blah*....*screen turns black...you see the Nexon Logo....*...*POOF* first thing you see is "Enter your Pin".... But for some reason...that seems really odd....My prediction. Pins will be removed. ....(LOL! I GOTZ HACKED!...SO I HEARZ YOU LIKE GETTING MUDKIPZ HACKED!) Who said that? O.O Well anyways....Time for my "IMO"....VERY...VERY....VERY.....(anyone wanna insert about 10,000 more "Verys" here?)...STUPID! /end....
