Sure, we all know that hybrid DKs are a better choice than pure spear, but why are hybrid DKs tempted to say stuff like "O u shuda been hybrid nub" or "your a lolpure" or "pure spear sucks so much compared to hybrid lol". Seriously, pure spear isn't even behind by much DPM, and hybrids shouldn't try to make pures regret being pure or try to forcibly convert them like those catholic missionaries who came from Europe to developing nations to spread their god. [/quote] I'd count FA as a con for both - there are advantages and disadvantages to having it. The advantages help a pure Polearm more than a pure Spear, though. My feeling on builds is - if you have to ask what build you should do, then you should always choose hybrid. It leaves the most flexibility. Pure builds are for people who know exactly what they want from their character, exactly what skills they can and cannot use in a pure build. There's nothing wrong with being a pure spear or pure polearm Dragon/Dark Knight - but hybrids are equally good in any measurable way with both.

[/quote] Then you should know why they are superior. Go figure. Faster training in early levels = well... faster leveling duh? Hybrid would level faster to 4th than a Pure Spear but at the same rate as a PA Hybrid can boss the same as a Spear and better than PA What's not better? I agree that we shouldn't flaunt it but... we are better. Facts and stats point to it and I'd rather follow up on that.

Polearm Crusher does 60% as much damage as Spear Crusher. Spear Fury does 60% as much damage as Polearm Fury. so, for example, if Spear Crusher did 510% Polearm Crusher is about, oh, 306%.

you realize that the drk forum regulars...we all joke amongst ourselves right? we all post a lot in the forums, see bajillions of threads made by ignorant/misinformed/just plan stupid people all the time, and so we tend to derail threads once we've answered the question (more or less) and i think daniel is a pure polearm, not sure though lol joe (zgtaf3) is for sure a pure polearm and makes fun of his own build all the time it's not like we actually mean to put people down however, when the answers to basically all these question can be easily researched... *shrug* sorry if we come off as elitist or whatever the hell you guys are calling us frankly we don't really care though if you want to make a pure, go nuts f3. we'll tell you your build is inferior, because it just is. if a million pures get pissed at us for every wouldbe pure who converted to hybrid after learning the reasons why, so be it. rather one person not regret their build down the line than please some dudes who can't deal with the fact that they didn't do their research that, at least, is how i feel drop by the drk section sometime, jokes all around lulz

Do what you want and all. I still get to go on any boss run I could ask for, since the guild I'm in really has no other DKs to speak of.

i am a hybrid and i just sold my polearm. i have to admit, when i was himing, i got better %/hr with a polearm than a spear, BUT at gallos it's reverse.
