Hi Basil. I have to write a persuasive essay in which stating if TKAM should or should not be banned from public schools. I really suck at writing persuasive essays, so if you guys could help, I would be grateful. Please state your opinion as of why. Thanks.

It's a book about this guy getting accused of raping someone. O.o Yeah.. gl there. persuasive essays are not too easy to write.

[/quote] Lol, but to think about it, everything back then was like that, that was life, it isn't racists back then because that was culture, but in todays standards, it can, or cannot be racists because she can simply be a maid. It all depends on how you think about it.

Uhh... just off the top of my head... 1. It is a well-written and entertaining book (to some). 2. It shows the level of tolerance and acceptance we have come to today. 3. Clearly illustrates the destructive force of racism. If you didn't gather already, I'm against banning it.

No it shouldn't be banned. Literature shouldn't be banned its a way of expressing yourself.
