DISCLAIMER: This guide is not finished. Much work still needs to be done, especially on weapon/armour information, BBCode organization and much more (which you can contribute to by posting below). Nevertheless, this guide has been posted for your own convenience, as the main sections are finished. This message will be removed when the entire guide is finished. Also, this guide has been separated into two different parts due to the post limit on BasilMarket. The first part is an insight into beginners in general. The second part contains lists of equipment, training areas and quests (literally it is about stuff you can do on your beginner). I hope you enjoy the information organized this way. For part II of the guide, click here. Updates: Latest Update: January 27st, 2010 Version 1.0 - Reorganized equipment and training locations section. Training Locations now have a description section identifying descriptions. Equipments now have their own links (redirecting to BasilMarket itself), and the entire section has been condensed. Al information is still intact by the BasilMarket links. - More tips added to the Journal (on fame, etc.) Explanation included about the Journal. - Added Stirgeman Pants and other items. - Removed some equipment, as terms are now included to compare the stats to its price worth (as explained in the FAQ section, which also includes a question for it). - FAQ moved to Part II, for better convenience (as it should belong in the end, not in the middle). - Journal reorganized. - Party Quests have been added. Coming Soon: Quest information (quests, rewards, etc). More descriptions and updated information on equipment More descriptions on training areas Introduction: The Beginner class in MapleStory needs no big introduction. Everyone had started their MapleStory adventure as a beginner, yet many of them do not continue on and instead advance to other jobs. In almost everybodys mind, continuing a legendary journey as a beginner forever would be nothing but ugly, maybe grotesque, maybe the silliest and the most ridiculous idea they have ever heard of. (Such adjectives are probably exaggerations, but it is up to you to decide.) It is a huge challenge that everybody finds hard to face, yet there are those who can challenge this challenge and climb up to the top of the ranks. Permanent Beginners are indeed the most questionable class of them all Which is why Readers Extraordinary Guide for the Permanent No-Class is here in your own hands, the creation created by Readers (at this moment a level 78 permanent beginner) and BigBerginner (a level 43 islander). This is his love child created for your needs. This is a guide that will go through the basics of a beginner, to the small details that distinguish a permanent beginner from everything else. This guide will not present the authors own biased opinions on certain topics (except maybe the credits, party quests and the FAQ, which he would have to answer your questions writing his re

Great guide, well-detailed, and up-to-date, but I have a question about the KS'ing. You said that you deal with it by ignoring the offender and asking "CC plz." What do you do if this person decides to stalk you, abuse you through whispers or chat, or defame you? I've had one time asking someone to CC got me stalked and it made the guy (DEXless sin) even MORE desperate to make my life "fun" for awhile. After 3 attempts to CC, I just logged out in frustration. Another thing is that I noticed you said the Stolen Fence is not tradable. I'm pretty sure that was just an oversight. Also, while you focus on AP builds, you mention nothing about equipment builds. This may be common sense to some, but I think that there are five good equipment setups for Beginners. I personally advocate the former two, but the latter three work just as well if not better depending on your situation: -Defense Equipment: Have fun watching those big threatening Stone Golems that used to kill noobs all the time doing around 250-300 damage to them before the map improvement patch do 1 damage to you =D. Higher base DEX and/or Zakum Helmet suggested for accuracy purposes. -STR Equipment (my current setup): Show the world how strong a Beginner really is! Prove to the jobbies you're not a weak feeble perma jobless "noob." Show them what we're made of! High DEX base with STR equips or lowish DEX base (low if you have Zakum Helm) provided you have enough accuracy still recommended. -DEX Equipment: Sick of missing PQ bosses left and right? Can't hit anything other than Snails (lol jk)? Don't like hitting 2000 damage then only 150? This is the equipment setup for you! Suggested for low DEX based Beginners or normal DEX Beginners that want to PQ and/or hit higher leveled monsters. -HP Equipment: Prove to your party Alishar won't OHKO you. Be able to get yourself a Zakum Helm in a Z-run and survive what other Beginners would fall to in one hit. Higher DEX suggested; what good is more stamina if you can't hit? -Speed/Jump Equipment: Sick of moving like a slug and jumping an inch high? Here you go! Could be used for actual fighting depending on other factors, such as level, accuracy, other equipment, etc, but generally good for getting around maps faster.

[quote] kio2009 : What was the glitch with the blood snowboards?OT: Very nice guide [/quote] The glitch I believe occurred 2 - 3 years ago, when Nexon typo-ed the drop rate and made it so that more Blood Snowboards dropped than what was necessary. I remembered going to Stone Golems and saw a huge pile of Blood Snowboards on the ground with the meso and item drops where people trained. People were probably finding them every five kills. They became worthless during that time. [quote] Alyssaur : I like this. -thumbs up- Would you mind if I linked to you in my Discussion Thread ? [/quote] Sure, why not. It helps for the cause. :P [quote] icy89firaga : Great guide, well-detailed, and up-to-date, but I have a question about the KS'ing. Good point about the preference. I was just throwing that in because some people might be confused as to what to wear. I have had many lower level'ed Beginners ask me what they should use/wear. I agree that you should make your own decision. Like I've said, I personally go for STR gear, but someone may find having perma 140 Speed and 123 Jump more useful than a bit more damage. Everyone is entitled to playing the game how he/she wants to. I was just wondering about the harassment, because I've had a few morons curse me out and one of them even made a very hurtful untrue claim about me. Honestly I try to avoid people, especially those that go "y r u a begginer?" Honestly, if you can't type like you have a decent grasp of the English language, don't bother. I do it sometimes but not all the time.

One thing I've noticed whilst screwing around with my Permanent Legend: I am somehow able to hit 4 monsters instead of 3. Not sure why, but I assume that it might have something to do with level. I was only able to mob 3 enemies in the 1x-3x level range, but at level 41, I noticed that I was hitting 4 monsters instead of 3. Anyone else experiencing this?
