What if MS wa 3D instead of 2D? What do you think would it be like? Would you still be as interested in it as you are now? Share your thoughts. (I couldn't think of any other ideas =P)

I like RS when it was 2D, now it's all blargh in 3D-mode

3D will make your charcter keep turning everywhere. It kind of hurts my head. I like it 2D. Only two directions.

2D doesn't attract many players now a days because it's all about graphics. >_> But I like MS game play wise. I don't really care about graphics. I play what I enjoy playing. If MS was 3D, I don't think the graphics will look the same consider how they drawn the character. O_o It will just be the same as Ragnarok Online...

Hm. Maybe, but I think an overhead view would be good. Like Diablo utilizes. I'm content with the current 2-D mode of Maple Story now though.

yeah ms is good as 2d. it would be more complicated as 3d, but da attacks and spells will look cooler. savage blow, dragon fury, explosion, arrow rain...

Maple was originally going to be 3D with possible cel shaded graphics, but they couldn't quite get the desired effect. They foud what they were looking for with the 2D pixel designs. This was written on the main site some time ago.

Great, first people are whining for PvP and now 3D?! Let's all play R.O.S.E. then shall we? a 3D Maplestory with a PvP system is essentially a repackage of R.O.S.E.

R.O.S.E. isnt all that great a game, I played the beta for like two months and was never really able to get into it. It like every other MMO, no substance. The 2D interface is why I like MS, maybe a bit nogistalgic(sp) 3D=every other MMO

Unless your a little rich kid, paying monthly for a GAME is just stupid. That's the main reason rose sucks. But I would like MS to be 3D because I personally get bored training *hit left* *walk* *hit right* *walk* *hit left*. Kinda gets repetitive. 3D can add more variety.
