Lukless, Yay or Nay?

People say Clerics are fun so I'm going to make one. But seriously, I'm not sure whether to go Lukless or not. I would of in the old days when EW didn't decrease damage but now that they do I'm not so sure.

LUKless clerics will get the most power from the least amount of funding. But if you want to be really strong and you're rich, you can make a low-LUK DDS cleric. If you like the regular clothes, by all means, make a regular-LUK cleric. It's your choice.

Lukless is the way to go. Don't worry about Doomsday until you can get an Egged Horntail Necklace. Believe me. I've done the math.

lukless and invest in a REALLY good shine wand/lama staff until you got around.....2b to toss around on luk gear to use a doomsday, 2b AFTER genesis 20&30

I dont get why people are talking about tossing money on luk gear o_e you should be able to wield DDS with around 2X base luk and just luk from the armor you can get as a luk mage ( Maybe even 1X with maker ) But i guess it IS more expensive.. :P but more power too

You get 15 luk from a zhelm and 26 from a htp - 41 luk. An 11 luk stolen fence is only about 21m. 62 luk. Some luk from other equips. You can easily equip a DDS with about 15 base luk. But really, if you are not that funded I would say a base luk of about somewhere between 40 and 60 will do fine. Even with that base luk you will be more powerful than most other priests, able to wear most armour and not use too much funding. I did a base of 60 I with just a zhelm I and random equips (no luk equips or dep star yet) I would be able to equip dep stars, + extra def from equips makes u look cooler, and means u can hime earlier with any atker without MG.

[/quote] Luk shield=waste Luk cape=waste Luk overall=waste Luk earrings=waste Get all of those with int and use maker with luk crystals and int crystals ofc, int gear>luk always. i'll rather have more permanent int gear with luk on it and higher luk base and such. else i cant switch cape/shield/overall/earrings for something better without not being able to wear my item

Yeah probably, although int shields can be very expensive, so if you aren't very funded then..., but yeah, I see your point. Seeing as int gear usually adds int+m atk it would probably be better to have good equips w/ high base luk than even lukless and luk equips.

Many people choose lukless because they have some good advantages such as the ability to hime earlier, but of course equips play a part in this as well. Overall though, lukless is cheap and a great alternative to Low-luk DDS if you aren't funded enough.

[/quote] HTPs give +22 to all stats when egged, not 26. I will also have to agree with Xylit. It's rather stupid to scroll mage equips for Luk seeing as you could just scroll your equips for Int. The one exception to this for me is shields since the scrolls are ridiculously pricey. Still, I've never scrolled for Luk.
