Abortion? are you for or against it?

Many people say that abortion is immoral and unjust because it involves 'taking' the life of a fetus. Similarly, they bring up issues regarding the safety of the woman undergoing the operation, saying how in the future the chances of ectopic pregnancies doubles, and also how the probability of a miscarriage or pelvic inflammatory disease increases as well. In addition, just the possibility of having an abortion poses a threat to the moral fibers of society, as it creates a state of mind that allows people to not be accountable for their own actions. I'll try to keep this short, but I have several questions. What defines 'life?' How is having an abortion any less safe than the actual delivery? And wouldn't abolishing abortion be an infringement on the rights of women? By this I mean that by banning abortions, you are inevitably controlling how a couple undergoes intercourse through 'forced' methods of contraception, limiting that individual's own freedom. This is not a debate on whether an abortion is justified under the circumstances where a woman's life is in jeopardy by pregnancy, sexual assault, etc. Rather, under normal conditions, if a woman were to get pregnant when she does not wish to have a baby, whether by accident or carelessness, should we allow her that right? I'm trying to be as unbiased as I can, and even then I already have my own ideas over the matter. But I guess really, it depends on the person. I just want to hear your opinion on this matter. thanks.

Regardless of what people say about it, I really have no problems with it. Although there are other ways around the abortion like adoption, if the mother decides to abort the baby instead, they should just to be allowed to do it, it IS their baby after all.

At what point does life start? 2 days before birth? A week before birth? 2 weeks? A month? Are you even counted as life when you are birthed? Is there life at day 2, 3, 4? Nobody knows? Do you have to breathe before you're counted as life. Is feeding off your mom through a tube not good enough? You remember that woman in your life. The one who really wanted a baby and then miscarried half way through? Why the hell did you comfort her? Who cares, it's just a lifeless fetus. Right? Even you pro-choice SOB's feel bad for the lady who miscarries. What gives? You don't feel bad when a lady just as far along aborts it. You people are such hypocrites! You feel bad for the lady who miscarries because a LIFE was lost. Deep down inside you know there is something more there then just a worthless fetus! And do any of you have any idea how much it effects the Mom who aborts her baby? My Dad is a therapist and he has seen many women who just can't live with themselves for aborting their babies. It eats them up inside. That baby could have been a huge success, it could have produced countless more generations of people, but it was all wasted for nothing. So screw all of you pro-choice people. It's a shame you weren't aborted and wiped from the face of history!
