This thread is to answer all of the Ecko facts and rumors out there. Let's begin with, yes Ecko is back. He no longer plays his nl "sadLstic" anymore. His new ign is "CAPCOM" and it's currently a warrior (not sure which). He quit a year ago but I am not sure why and now he is back and has hacked several people already as far as i know. In the past few days he hacked "myharrything" and "sprinke." He is on the ign "Sprinke" right now which is a level 189 bishop (WOW!). Lots of people here on basil say he is a fake hacker or not able to. I've come to notice those who post such things are not even from Scania. Ecko is a hacker from Scania and mainly focuses on Scania. However, he has hacked people from other servers numerous times, but his playground is still Scania. He is not one to be fondled with. He's still up to his old antics. His hacking methods relate to the website (or so he's told me). He is able to emulate the server to requests forgotten passwords and retrieve them from his own email. Example: accountA's email is blahblah@blah.com and he requests the password to it (given he knows the birthday which I'm sure he can easily acquire) and it sends to his own email. All he needs is your account ID to hack you. Beware. Ecko has indeed hacked or created a GM before. The name was "GMEcko." I've tried myself and it worked (no longer working). The ID was eckodatabase and the password was eckoecko. Whether or not Ecko really did anything I'm not sure of but it's rumored that he used it to make his all perfect gear. However, I am 100% positive he did use a Packet Edittor to mass create white scrolls and 4th job scrolls to make his gear. I've seen them personally and wow I was pretty jealous. There is a lot more on this guy. I don't know his full story but you are free to bug him yourself. But beware, he may hack you if you annoy him. Just a warning. I don't want to risk going to jail, and I doubt he wants to go either. Maplestory is probably just a hobby for him.

This sounds like a load of crap. Hacking scares are almost NEVER real, and all proof ever brought up tends to be... well... not actual proof. Anecdotal evidence, maybe. But not proof.

iFIew : How can he receive the pin? If he can request passwords, okay, but isn't the pin secured with 5 tries before locking you out for 10 minutes? It'd be pretty time costly to try and crack that. Before the 10 minute effect came out, there were automated pin guessers., but now? He gets your account and password...Pin resets that pin goes to his email or he hacks your email too and get the pin...
