McAfree stopping hackshield from running

is there a way to configure McAfee so that it ignores maplestory/hackshield so i can play without turning off my virus scanner? and yes McAfee is the problem so the nexon suggested solution does not work for me. Edit: it seems the method of making McAfee ignore other programs was removed from the home version so for a temporary solution i have downloaded avast and turned off McAfee's virus scanner When ever the problem is fixed ill turn it back on Edit 2: litoxaznguy : Solution for McAfeee Users: McAfee Security Center > Restore > Files > "EHSVC.DLL" Restore this file ONLY. Be sure to check the date and time. Once restored, you may play maple again. thank you sir

Lol. It's McAfee, which sucks. Uninstall it and get avast! antivirus or avg.

From what I read, it seems that the Home version of it doesn't let you put anything into the Trusted Program list. o.O Anyways, if you were to get a new AV, I suggest Avira or Avast!. AVG has ok detection rate but used up more resources and doesn't have a rootkit detection on their free version.

This thread making me lol anyway almost every antivirus have something called "Exclude from scan list/ white list" Panda / mc afee good antivirus but both memory hug

I paid for McAfee which sucks =-= so I either have to turn my virus protection off to play MS, or not play MS at all. I'm going to wait to see how Nexon fixes this.

Nexon wont fix this , Read my post , you have to excluse from scan or make white list with the following in it -> Maplestory.exe Hackshield

I have the same problem as you... There's supposed to be a "trust" button, but it's conveniently MISSING from the View Log option. To other people in this thread, shut up about another anti-virus and quit burning on his- It's NOT HELPFUL. I redownloaded MS hoping that will solve the problem for a little bit, haven't tried yet.
