Getting a new guitar

So i've finally saved up for a new guitar! Oh my gosh!-Fan Girl Scream-. Any who i was thinking about what guitar i should i get. i Have 1500 About and my dad could give me like another 300. i Was thinking a iBanez Rg350dx Or a Fender Stratocaster. What do you guys think i should get? Or if you have a better guitar name please. Thanks.

Go with the ibanez, they're very good guitar and they suit any style you want to play.

go for the ibanez. they're very sturdy, and versatile. strats are nice, but you'd need to get a new bridge pickup if you wanted to get a good tone with a really powerful overdrive. they're really only good for mainly jazz/blues.

The Ibanez is great, it's light and has a slim neck and body so it's easy to play. Though I would think of getting the Fender Telecaster myself. I would probably end up buying the Gibson SG 08 model; which is around $1200. Unless you already have a LP or SG.
