When did you come out and to who? Why did you come out? Did you feel better after doing it or how? I'm just curious to see all the LGBT people on BasilMarket I came out during the end of 8th grade to almost everyone except for my parents and 1 friend. Before that I just started telling close friends and I eventually told everyone or let everyone know. I feel so much better after doing it. I can be myself now! I'm not going to tell my parents because I'm scared of what they'll think of me. Your turn!

I came out when I switched schools (grade 10). It was like a fresh start so I felt that it was appropriate. I told my parents about half-way through grade 10. The rest of my family found out like 3 weeks ago after I went to a leadership camp for gay youth. I'm currently 17 in grade 12, btw. Oh and if you ever need some support, please PM me. I know that sometimes it's easier to talk to people on the internet about this sort of stuff.

It's a complicated situation to explain, but I pretty much don't say I'm gay. I don't say I'm straight either, so I guess I neither moved forward or gone backwards. When the time comes that somebody directly asks me about it, I won't lie though.

My friends in school know, told 'em near the end of soph. year. My parent's don't know, my brothers don't know. And my closest friend doesn't know. (doesn't goto my school/hang with my school friends) I'm quite terrified.

Don't worry about telling your parents and family yet. There's no rush to come out... just do it whenever you feel comfortable.

@TS: Same over here, except i've only told one friend, and that's it (and i told him on accident), i just decided that there were more cons than pros to coming out, so i just don't, and i manage... @The people who argued against me in the "Why do people hate Christians" thread: SURPIRSE! :D

I actually find stupid that thing of "coming out of the closet" The sexuality you follow if no one's business but yours and (if you have) your life partner if heterosexuals don't have to tell everyone they are heterosexual then neither homosexuals have to do so

I'm straight, but if I was gay I'd probably keep it to myself anyway.
