I'm currently a Junior in High School and was wondering which test in your opinion is a better option for someone better with English (like writing, grammar, critical reading included.) but terrible with math. (In my Freshman year, on the standardized tests, I got a high basic on Geometry, so yeah.) I'm currently doing SAT prep with Elite but it doesn't seem to be helping my math out so what is the ACT like for math?

i took only the sat and did pretty well, so i'm gonna go with that. lol i also went to elite. I heard the act covers more subjects, like chem, physics, biology etc (someone correct me if im wrong), while the sat only does writing, reading, and math. So if you want fewer subjects just do sat xD

Take both: I've taken both and the ACT is WAYYYYY easier. The SAT and SAT II are things you should take also because a lot of colleges deem in necessary. *It depends on your college too. My friend is Mormon and all he has to do to get into BYU is to maintain a 3.5 GPA, take the ACT, and go to church. *ACT= It also contains biology, but all it is is about reading graphs/charts. *SAT= Contains math with the "grid/writing" thing.

I will be taking both, but I'd like to know which one is generally considered to be easier with math since I'll take that one earlier and the other one later. The school I'm trying to get into is UCSD and they accept both SAT and ACT. In fact, most colleges now accept ACT too. And if the ACT contains Biology, that's no problem, math is really the biggest problem for me and since there's really no advanced math in Biology, I should be good.

mskillaboyLulz at Elite. I took that too. If you take the math on the ACT, you have to actually KNOW the stuff. If you take the SAT, it's more reasoning and algebra/geomotry which makes it much easier if you know all the rules. Didn't they give you those 3 packets each week with math lessons in them, you can just ask the teacher to help you with the questions you don't know anyways.

yea elite beat me down hard on math, i personally like math, so it was kind of a waste lol. shoulda focused more on writing/reading.
