Question about the new iTouch 9/9/09 3rd generation

I bought a 2nd generation iTouch two weeks ago and i found out this one came out. Can i trade my iTouch in at best buy (where i bought it) and get the 3rd generation? I bought an insurance or warranty I forgot which 1 but i know it costs $50 and my iTouch for $300. Can i trade in my itouch 2nd generation for a 3rd generation or its confirmed and i can't do anything?

The 3rd Generation itouch is almost the same thing. Its retail price is 30 bucks cheaper. So a 8gb itouch will be 200 bucks not 229
