This is for a school writing assignment, what if you were trapped inside a school with hundreds other kids by a giant avalanche and there were no teachers? The air is starting to run out, the temperature is dropping, you can't contact people outside with a phone or electronics, and the landline is cut? You get a message outside but you have to last a week for the people to come.

Well, there's nothing you can really do apart from treating the school as your home. It's got everything. Kitchen. Toilet. Living rooms and bedrooms can be served through classrooms. Actually i would find it very fun if it happened to me.

Find the smokers. Use paper and desks to make a bonfire somewhere. Use a smoker's lighter to light it. There are many flammable things in labs, too. For food, I guess you could use whatever is in the cafeteria kitchens. Or, you could resort to cannibalism.
