Orange Box "Duplicate CD Key" problem

So my brother bought the Orange Box way back in I don't remember, and somewhere along the way, his Steam account got hijacked. So now, I can't play any of the games in the set because his old account was banned, and trying to reactivate them on my account yields a "duplicate CD key" error. Any way I can... resolve this? *wink wink, hint hint, PM me if you feel you need to* (Don't bother sending me to Steam's wiki on the issue, we don't have the receipt anymore)

Steam keys only work for the accounts they're activated on. Ther IS a way in geting the account back, though. I do remember reading something like emailing Steam/Valve and then giving them the store receipt details. But since this happened months ago, I'm not sure if it would work. If you need to go into the illegal activites, there are/is some/one thing(s) you should know: You won't be able to play on ALL of the games. Some of the games I've tried wouldn't download because of a "Server Issue" which when googled along with the special application I used, means that you cannot play the game illegally.

Or you can get a stand-alone for a certain game you wanted in the Orange Box. You just need to know where to find it though.
