Hello :D Could somebody please reccomend a good martial arts for self defence? I need to take it for a school trade from P.E if that makes sense. If it matters, I have a normal height for my age but I am very stalky and broad. Wide shoulders and stuff :o Thanks

Omegathorion : Muay Thai. It's a form of kickboxing. Forgot which country it was from but it's an Asian one... Thailand. Take this. Deadliest martial art. Focuses on strikes and uses alot of elbows, knees and shins.

Muay Thai or Tae Kwon Do. Muay Thai is just brutal. You WILL get hurt. Tae Kwon Do uses your feet a lot, and it's really fun. I'd join, but I'm poor ;~;

Aikido or Hapkido. It's a pretty harmonious type of martial arts. There's no force or pure strength involved, you use other people's attacks and counter them with special techniques. I'm learning it right now, it's very fun. :] http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NmIuiuaREpk (youtube)

masamuneeI wouldn't recommend tae kwon do in a lot of dojos. There's a reason why they're nicknamed as belt factories.
