I would do that for money! Except the apostrophe show possession. You can have many dads, which then it would indeed be dads. "Dad's" shows possession, in this case, over the credit card. Don't correct someone if you're going to be wrong. :/

First; people lie. They might not actually get $1000 NX a week. -.- Mm some parents like to spoil their kids and throw money at them. Hahah this 10 year old I know in real life plays maple. She lost her first DS game thing and her dad got her a new one in a week. I think she threw that one against a wall and broke it in a tantrum. Now she has a DSi :3 Plenty of those people out there, its nothing new.
