US citizenship & pilot's license. Please help.

ok hi i want to be pilot ok but do i need US citizen ship to be pilot cus i have canadian citizenship only? my dad sign the thing to registerting the US citizen ship but that is taking a very time long so i don know. can i has a pilots licenses in amerca with canadain citizensip? this is not joke therad im is serious -_-

You need to use proper grammar so people will take you seriously. And no, pilot license is like getting a drivers license. Show up, take off, do some banks, full traffic pattern, and land.

If you have permanent residency in the U.S you could, enlist thats as far as I know to the Air Force, but if your taking private lessons I have no clue. I could only use common sense and say that they will ask for proper identification, theres going to be procedures to ensure safety for others. I also want to become a pilot ;P.

Fenrir : It sounds like english isn't your first language. Actually, Korean is my very first language, and English is my second. However, I am able to use English much more effectively. I personally believe that English is the easiest language to learn, but I dislike the fact that there are so many synonyms. Have you checked out the SAT vocab list? It's incredibly long in my opinion.

In school, the only subjects that you should pay attention to is geometry and lab physics. I talked to a few pilots and my soccer coach for my club team is an Aerial Repairman for the Airforce and he says, it all depends on what you want to do. For example like say you want to be a fighter pilot, theyre extremely well paid, but only a small selected can actually do it. The exams are ridiculous and the physical exams too, I mean its standard to have 20/20(Its actually better than 20/20) vision, many choose to get eye surgery. I mean the pilot field is a wide range, it all depends on what you want to do, you actually have to do service/pay to log hours in flight to qualify for things like private flying. I forgot the exact amount of hours, but its insane. Edit: Only choose the profession if you don't plan on settling down specifically in your 20s. Pilots have a reputation of a high rate of failed marriages. I don't plan on having children, whatever happens;happens but you have to deal with being away from your close ones for long periods of time. I was recently on a Fuel Airplane for the AirForce, it was the most amazing thing ever. For starters if you ever sit down on the pilot seat, your like 20 feet in the air and you can't see 5ft below you its such a weird feeling. All the switches,buttons, and toggles are all mirrored, so it just makes it look like theres a bazillion buttons around you, cool thing about fuel airplanes is that fighter jets while in mid-air attach themselves to the plane and they get fuel from it.

I forgot the exact amount of hours, but its insane. My vision is far too weak to become a fighter Pilot. I would like to be one, but I was just not born with those kinds of eyes.. My goal is to become a commercial airline Pilot. I think you need a US citizenship for that, but I don't really know the steps to getting there. I want to get married, which is also a problem, because I'll be away for so much of the time.
