I'm pretty curious as to those who play Maple Story and are also in high school. I quit Maple Story during summer before high school because it got boring for me and can easily get me off-task. Did you quit Maple Story as you went into high school also? are you embarrassed to say that you play :P I was. Do you think that they go well together?

darklime : I never said you can't play/It's not ok. I play it as well and I'm going to be a Senior tomorrow. The thing is, most HSs can make fun of you or discriminate you cuz you play it (Idc about that anymore). I'm just telling the kid that most kids in HS are more into console games. And how is WoW r3tarded? I saw my friend playing it last night and he told me how it owns maple... Edit: And yes, it does looks at least 20 times better than maple....and if you tell people how r3tarded WoW is, they can easily say over 20 things of how WoW>MS. I was too ashamed to admit that I still play MS at my friend's house...(I should have told them) But one of them knows. Anyways, I totally agree with you 100% that people have this biased, stereotypical HS environment opinion in HS. HS students act like everything is a BIG thing and I never found that "cool" or "interesting". I didnt mean it like Wow isnt better than Ms I mean i know it is I have played it a while ago What i meant is if your making fun of Ms because its "kiddy" Then i can make fun of the fact that your playing with ogres and dwarfs And i didnt mean it towards you personally I meant it to people ho make fun of others because of Ms I apologize for not being specific before

I've played since 7th grade (now in 11th), and only like my friends know I play and they don't care, neither does my gf. otherwise no one else knows, nor do I want them to ever find out..

Heck I'm in Highschool and I still play. I really don't care what kind of game it is really as long as I'm not bored playing it and MS was perfect for me at the time and still is.

Seems like a lot of high schoolers and some college people play I voted that maple is not cool in high school because... it really isn't at my high school. That doesn't stop me from playing it though because I like it and its fun. Only one of my friends plays with me and other than that, we are made fun of by pretty much everyone else. And as for does it distract me? Well, I mapled a lot this summer but I was the only one of my friends with all my summer reading done at a reasonable time... Yes it distracts me but less than the average kid is distracted...

i justed turned a freshy like a week ago when school started...and i play... duh... and of course i dont walk around talking about maplestory, but the only time i talk about it... is when im joking with my other AZN friends... cuz i can beat em up easy.... but no... i dont walk around the hallway with ppl 6+feet tall. and talk about maplestory... and i joke about it in orchastra class couple times...cuz... my orchastra filled with azns and every1 loves me...

I play it, and I like it, but something tells me my classmates wouldn't like it, so I voted "not cool". Either that, or they secretly play. In Henesys. I've known one other kid who plays Maple, but he was on a different server, and he stopped being friends with me last year (I question whether he was ever my friend, but that's an unrelated story).

I still play maple and I'm in 10th grade. Just keep it hush-hush if you don't want amy1 to know. Only 1 other person I know in my school knows, and that is the person who got me to join MS.

I started the summer after my freshmen year. Now i'm a sophomore in college. I've played once since my semester started two weeks ago. It's not that I quit, but that I get really busy during the school year. 'tis why i'll never break 100 T_T
