Everybody says low-dex sins are the best because they wear high-level claws and have maximum luk. But as new claws keep coming out your going to need a helluva lot of dex to keep equipping higher and higher claws. By the time level 200 claws come out, im not sure if the most godliest of godly items will be able to slap on enough dex to make it through. Even that option will require well more than 2bil. This means a combination of the following 3 things will happen: Prices on semi-godly items will decline as their demand lessens (yay); The normal base dex of a low-dex user will increase; and low-dex will simply become monetarily unfeasible, thus dex-saunas will go down in price as luk tops rise(the people switching from low-dex to the monetarily less intensive dexless will create a large demand). The last effect, happily, will only be economy-changing if more dexless claws come out. While it is true that low-dex will be great in the upper-middle stage of the game, everyday people get past that upper-middle boundary, and these people have much more money than newly created characters. Why do low-dex suck past the upper-middle boundary? Everybody knows that as you level, attack matters more than luk, even more so with skills that have regular(not L7/TT) damage formulas. That means it will be more worth it to put more points into base dex(which leads to higher level claws, which leads to ATK) than luk. So, in conclusion, The low-dex class as we know it will become obsolete, and reg-dex will see a swell in numbers in the coming years. Do you agree with me? Are there any fallacies in my argument? if so please state.

How about you repost this when there really is lv 200 claw...
Tobyrr 09/07/09 + PM | QUOTE | PERMALINK | REPORT
ty for the formatting; at the person who said its just a higher number, pink bean would become feasible, and solo zakum/ other bosses might become a good source of exp?
SoulKeeper 09/07/09 + PM | QUOTE | PERMALINK | REPORT
the highest weps are the raiders lvl 135 ;D
sinspeed 09/07/09 + PM | QUOTE | PERMALINK | REPORT
Whats the base atk for these "lvl 200 claw" o-o
Tobyrr 09/07/09 + PM | QUOTE | PERMALINK | REPORT
HolyFusion : You're making a lot of assumptions. By the time that level 200 claws come out (not likely) how do you know that there won't be level high level dexless/lowdex claws? Also, low dex will never be monetarily unfeasible. If somebody was serious about making a low dex they would have the mesos to fund it. People jump around with their crystal ilbis and 15 atk work gloves all the time... If an item was too expensive for people to buy, nobody would buy it and it would lower in price . I did say that dexless claws might come out, but please name one low dex claw that exists. And the bold part proves exactly what i said about semi-godly equips.

laughatthepain : if lvl 200 claws came out so would lvl 200 weps of all other classes and that would unbalance the bishops agian T.T well finally.

lol there is no "low dex claw" because all of them require dex

LOL Level 200 claws , really? If 200 claws where to come out no one would be dexless , and correct me if I'm wrong , but the highest level claw is the "timeless lampion" , I'm think that the highest attack you can make clean would be ... A good 62att clean ? Now , the best attack a dexless would be able to get would be , a 40 attack Night Raven's claw , If you scrolled these to the max [+ hammers] you would be able to get a 85 att For the night raven's claw , and 107 att for the timeless lampion , but think about it what about the low dex's? Some might be able to use timeless , depending on the equips NOW Lets say a lvl 120 low dex with a 107 att Lampion against a regular dex with a 107 att lampion , obviously the low dex wins , seeing as 120 x 5 = 605 , and the low dex had minimum dex , Now i'm not sure how much dex the low dex could have but i've seen a dexless with enough dex to hold a rab , the low dex would be at around 5xx Luk [just an estimate] , and the regular dex would be [605 AP TOTAL , timeless lampion req's 160 dex so 605 - 160 = 455] 455 AP for luk now i'm not exactly sure about the damage ratio to luk at that level im not exactly sure my estimate is around 1:10 or so [being 1luk = 10 wep.att , correct me if i'm wrong] Now the statistics are not completely right , but i'm pretty sure the low dex out powers the regular dex.

I have but one basic assumption: if only to make more money/keep people interested in the game, Nexon WILL continue to add equipments. Just because they aren't in KMS yet, doesn't mean that years from now no more claws will come out. Don't worry people it won't effect the MS economy for at least 2 years in my estimate, but it will happen sometime. NOTE: Seeing as a large percentage of NX Hoes are dexless sins, there will probably be more dexless claws as well.

I doubt this will happen , It would be pointless to realese level 200 claws , seeing as so far the level cap has not raised and it would be pointless to try and add anymore attack to a level 200 , as they can level no further more .
paco1234 09/08/09 + PM | QUOTE | PERMALINK | REPORT
k...why would someone need a lvl 200 claw when the level cap is 200... would you just buyit for nothing? cause you wouldnt be able to use it to its potential.
Tobyrr 09/08/09 + PM | QUOTE | PERMALINK | REPORT
SO FAR is the key word in your argument. I'm not sure if you understand, but nexon HAS to keep expanding maplestory in any way they can. They aren't running a ponzi scheme, where purely new people provide money; people that play a lot are also buying Nx. How do you keep people buying NX? keep people playing through any means necessary. If this means allowing people to directly buy in-game money with real money(Meso Bags), so be it. If this means giving people exp for real money(Exp Gach), so be it. If this means giving people a lower-mid game character to start with(Maple Life Packages), so be it. Looking at what nexon has done in the past, why wouldn't they release new claws/weapons?
architect3sm 09/08/09 + PM | QUOTE | PERMALINK | REPORT
Yeah you're missing something. Regardless of a low dex having godly items or no, they will still have much more luck than a regular dex sin. The low dex sin might have to pump in more dex but te amount of luck they have more than regular dex will make a difference.

Why would you need to train when you're level 200?
