| BS Taunt BS in a macro might be good. I've heard it's pretty good even at level 1 but I have no experience using it so before you decide what to do you might want to wait for a more experienced Shadower to come in. Other skills might be more important first since it has a req before you can add it. If you were maxxing fake and didn't have a point in taunt I'd definitely put it in, but I'm not sure if adding 5 fake(That's the req, right?) just to put 1 in taunt would be worth it early in your job. If you really wanted to put it in I'd wait until at least 21-30 BS before rushing into it. As I've already stated, wait for a more experienced Shadower. I don't like leaving threads with 0 posts when It's something I can give a decent reply to. |

| Wait for your BS to hit 4 monsters and then put 1 point in it. That's what I suggest but even I still haven't got it (lvl 128). I might put 1 point in it if I'm able to sell leech :D |

| NEVER put Taunt on a macro. The defence boost you give to enemies is horrible if you hit a monster with full HP with it, so you really have to use it manually with the HP indicator. Well, that's obviously the case for higher level Taunt. 11% damage reduction isn't that bad, but still. As for putting SP in it ASAP... well it's as you wish, really, but getting +11% EXP and drop isn't bad at all when you're fighting mobs. It's not that great a boost against 1-2 enemies, especially since it takes a long enough time to cast. However, put more SP in it and it becomes even better :p (so far I have +31% EXP/drop) |

Hey, Can you please explain what you wrote? Does the hp of the monster matter? Now I feel I know nothing about that skill :P Ant BTW I didn't realize that I need 10 points on SS in order to PUT 1 point in Taunt. I have now lvl 24 BStep, I assume the best is to max it before anything else, right? Should i max SS to 10 after BStep and then put 1 on Taunt? But then the Assissinate will have to wait too long F3 Help |

| I'll just copy what I wrote in my FAQ, it should explain everything. Taunt Description: Throws a dagger forward in a straight line. Every monster (up to 6) hit by the dagger gets a boost in EXP, drop rate and damage reduction. This is not a simple small boost in weapon defence: the monster will really get less damage when you hit it. Monsters hit with Taunt will have little puffs of smoke coming up from the top of their head. You might also be interested to know that: - Taunt is THE reason why Shadowers get the best EXP of all 4th jobs after Mages. - Taunt does NOT unstun monsters it hits - If the small damage from Taunt kills a monster, you will not get the bonus EXP - Taunts animation is a bit longer than BS cooldown. Using BS-Taunt-BS is thus a bit slower than using BS-SB-BS - Taunts range is a tad shorter than BS - The dagger thrown is really thin, so make sure you aim well at the vertical level. You can jump and use Taunt in the air if you need, so time your jump well to hit as many monsters as possible. I don't really train :p The few times I did, I think I was getting about 15% an hour at Skeles... perhaps a bit less, I don't know, I could try if you want :p As for how to train... well since I'm killing Skeles in 3 BS, I only have to do BS-BS-Taunt-BS. |

My build is still experimental, so I don't give it yet in the recommended builds, but I might include it soon enough. It's not that complicated, really, just Taunt monsters when they have low HP and TA-DA. Just avoid Taunting monsters with full HP :p |

As I said, I'm not sure at all about % per hour since I'm not training per se. I'm gonna test it tonight or tomorrow and I'll give you the actual number. |
