What are the Pros And Cons of Marriage

Is marriage worth it? This is all I can come up with: Pros: -"Love" - Assistance with cooking and cleaning (You'll obviously have to chip in and split the work unless you're lucky) Cons: -Spend alot of money on your wife -Spend alot of time doing things you don't want to with wife -Spend alot of money raising kids, who'll be annoying for a majority of the time when they're with you. -Money spent on kids can be used for a maid when you hit older, and other stuff for your leisure -Chance of getting cheated on and getting heartbroken -Chance of becoming paranoid -Lose alot of time hanging out with the guys -Can't go out late at night anymore without wife getting suspicious -Spend 10,000 dollars+ on a wedding -Lose some freedoms to decide where you want to spend the night/eat -Limit yourself to making love to one woman for many years. -No Variety

SlooowPoke : Once you get married, you realize what a waste it was, thats what I believe. And statistically most marriages end in divorce, something like 60%, look it up if you don't believe me. You're just generalizing. Not everyone thinks that way. It's always assumptions with people these days.

Legal benefits. Aside from that, I don't find marriage a huge deal. If you're in a serious relationship with someone and want to spend the rest of your life with that person, who cares what some paper says? If anything, I think that the binding agreement in marriage would imply that the chains are needed in order to keep two lovers together, which is something that is reminiscent of people who are not in love.

I think Helen has a point. Also, America has the highest divorce rate.. And it's about 50%. So, stop generalizing..

Still the other 40%. Besides, you can't go by majority statistics because the majority is usually the most messed up.
