Died and levelled at the same time what?

I was at Skelegons, soloing just to get used to them before I decide to change training spots. Newts are getting a little easy now that I can 3-hit jr newts. Then, I strafed and killed a skelegon. At the same time, the skelegon blasted me with magic. Miraculously, I levelled, and I died o_O I just sat there thinking... "What?" Then I told about this in BL, and a buddy asked me this question: Did I die or level first? If I die first, then I lose XP, then the xp I got from the skelegon wouldn't level me. If I level first, my HP would have fully recovered, so the magic would not have killed me for sure (I had 3741 HP that level) I know I have a really strange sense of timing, but this is just ridiculous.-_-

How much does skels magic attack hit your for? When you level up you are restored not to your full HP but to your base HP. If you're using a MoN (300HP) then you would not have been restored to 3741 HP but to 3441 HP, if you had any other HP gear even lower. I have a good bit of HP gear and I usually train with HB...so when I level up and am reduced to just my base HP (~half HP) its pretty risky for a moment there, lol.

I've done that before, cept in the reverse. If you get hit, and WHILE your HP bar is going down, you use a potion, the potion will heal based on the amount of health you had at the time of use. So, if you had 1000HP, got hit got 500, but as your HP went down, and you hit the button at 750, and it was a 250HP pot, you would be on full HP again. I've tried it, and it works. Perhaps its just lag, or a little clink in the game. So what happened to you was: You used Strafe, as you know you get EXP before the damage actually shows up. Skelegon used its attack as strafe was going towards it. You leveled from the EXP. Your HP began going up. A Magic attack hit you for lethal damage BEFORE your leveling up HP was done healing. *Tombstone* All in the space of a heartbeat.

Note that the vid title isn't correct. Skratovarius : Actually, is is not a glitch, as I was told by these people and then proved them to be right. Your hp is reset to normal after leveling, without hp equips. Won't happen any more becauseI don't need hp equips D= You have enough HP due to your HP equips, and when you level your hp goes to normal without them, therefore you don't have enough HP to survive. (Was going to quote but it said there was a word that wasn't allowed so i had to put it in my own words) I hope that clears things up for you. If it doesn't, I have no clue why you died.

It's lag. I've died multiple times in CPQ only to be revived because I picked up a few seconds ago kicked into effect. That or I have no idea what actually went on for you :3
