Dad hates Maple Story?

Yeah so the first time I played Maple Story, my dad pressured me to quit. Second time, I quit by myself because of addiction. I recently started playing again (I'm 13), like 5 days ago and my dad completely banned Maple Story. I told him that I won't get addicted, and if I do, I'll go cold turkey like last time and stop playing and that he should treat it like a new game I'm playing, but he refuses. Should I play secretly, try and make a deal, or just agree and go on with life? Btw, I really like MS cuz it's interactive, I can meet my friends, and it's fun. :P

Play secretly. I did that once, and my parents were okay with it when they found out since they saw no difference when I was playing :P

Alalme : Wait till your 18 and move out? It depends how strict he is. He's slightly strict. He basically thinks he can force me to get perfect grades in high school and get to a good college and get a really good job and stuff and thinks Maple Story will get in the way. I mean, I can compromise most of the time with him. But I have a feeling that when I'm 18 I'll be too busy with college and stuff.

Play it secretly, but don't let it interfere with your schoolwork. Get good grades and when your parents find out, they won't think it's a bad thing?

You're in what grade 8? I somehow pull straight 90s in grade 11, play soccer and rugby, and work a part time job, and still have plenty of time for maple. I'm sure you can manage

don't play, sneaking around is just dumb and likely to end you in more trouble if he catches you, plus he is doing it for a good reason. I don't thinkg anyone would argue with you that maplestory isnt the most healthy thing to be addicted to.
