I was wondering does putting a paint coat over a C02 dragster affect the speed and how? Cause i got a assignment due next week and wana find out if does like every day car would it make a difference if they were metal or colored does it affect the car performance? Thx

Wrong section. But I would assume the set of paint would increase the weight and slow the vehicle down. ...then again, I did horrible in physics.

The less weight the faster they go. Don't pour the paint on. Spray paint a light coat on, sand it with 320-400 grade sandpaper, do another coat and repeat til it is smooth. To answer your question, it doesn't slow down much, i smooth surface will help.
