(youtube) DISRESPECTING BASILMARKET MEANS YOU WILL GET BANNED. Mods, get serious here. You guys must BARELY read the reports to ban people for such little CRAP. You don't even read PREVIOUS POSTS. Maybe people have a REASON and a GOOD PURPOSE for breaking some of the rules. The rules are only flexible TO BAN SOMEONE. Everytime there's an "extension" or a "subcategory" of a rule, it's added there to PUT YOU UNDER THE BANHAMMER. There is no flexibility to get you out. It's nice to have mods, but not when they SUCK. |

| I totally agree with you, I post this in all the threads about Mods' Wrongful bannings and I'll post it here too. I've been banned for posting "@ above, hey! Long time no see man" at the end of my post. I've been banned for creating a GMS player Community in MSEA, even though three other people copied my idea and didn't get banned, and in other server areas, have been stickied. I've been banned for posting a Gunslinger training video in a thread about inspirational pirate training videos. all of these bans lasted at least a full week. I believe these qualify as pointless bans. |

| FortunateSin : Wrong. They ALWAYS ban for something that someone else should've gotten banned for first. BECAUSE THEY DON'T CARE. So every ban they have ever given to people for annoying spamming, flaming, advertising, and cursing was wrong? That is just great. You know, if you feel as if you were wrongfully banned, you can always contact one of the mods and ask why. |

Don't try and act likes a kiss-ass, because honestly, Mods give more bans to people with one minor cuss word (like ass), or phrases (stupid angry prick), and even slight indications (I can see where your ideas are heading... ) than flamers, advertisers, and as you can tell by these threads, spammers. I'm not saying all bans are wrong, just a large handful of them are. I'm talking aside from the obvious when I refer to "all". |

I'm stating things that what I believe they do. Sure, they make mistakes, and if you contact a mod about their mistake, they might just take the suspension back unless it was an auto-suspension or one from Mr. Basil. I've seen mods talk to people they have wrongfully suspended and have actually got rid of their suspension, too. I'm not saying that mods always do the right thing because I have also been suspended for ridiculous things, but I don't go making threads complaining about what they have done. Obviously, everyone on Basilmarket already know what mistakes the mods make. People complain every time about unfair suspensions. I've also seen mods clean up the mess from flamers, advertisers and spammed posts and threads. Tonight is just one of those nights where none of the mods were on, so nothing can be done to stop the spam. You can't blame them for not being online when these things happen because they're not always online during specific hours, (like I've already said before) they only go on when they have taken care of things in real life... They don't put Basilmarket before other important things because this isn't their actual job. |

Because it only takes a single button. As for getting rid of their suspensions thing, they rarely do that anymore. I've had it happen to me once back when Basilmarket forums was good, and Chat could count to 7 (never 10, though). And just because people complain and mods talk about it, most of the time their back is to us. Every report deserves a review. Innocent until proven guilty; those that don't get reviewed should be left out. And they should look for patterns in the reports. I highly doubt most mods are highly educated. |

Maybe they just don't like you. The last time I saw a mod getting rid of a suspension or discussing it with the person who was suspended wasn't even too long ago... Probably last week, I don't know, I'm not online as often as before. Well, why don't you discuss this with one of the mods, instead of bringing up another one of these mod-complaining threads? These things always pop up every week. Try getting a hold of one of the mods and complain to them one on one or talk about whatever you think should be done differently. |

How do you "see" a mod getting rid of a suspension or discussing it with the person who was suspended? You can't see suspensions on anyone, and they can't post, only PM, which you can't see either. Also, mods never answer me. I bet in a week, also, over nine thousand people are banned. I'll probably get banned for over nine thousand, instead of this thread, actually. |

| @FortunateSin: They were talking through a thread where the entire population of Basilmarket could read it, too. So yeah, I saw it. People get auto-suspended for saying memes, so yes, you might end up getting suspended because of that. Not because of a mod, but it's because of the auto-suspension. This thread would most likely end up being locked, instead of you getting suspended. |
