Just got scammed.

Well, long story short, I 'bought a zhelm' for 20m, and when I gave my account to do the quests. It seemed pretty obvious by the time he asked for the account, but he hit me with the "you already paid, and if I wanted to scam you I could leave now" excuse. He stripped the account, and I still can't get on, so I have no idea what he's doing. I only transferred some of my equips off, but I still lost around 300m+. :'( The persons name is xivShockxlv (in Windia) Anyone know any good ways to get cash? I don't know how fast merchanting summoning rocks will be now.

Thats why you take everything off the account. Plus...you obviously didnt buy from someone listed on SW which is rule #1 when buying a Zhelm. Rule #2 is, if a deal seems too good to be true (i.e. 20 mill for a zrun and them doing quests) it almost always is.

I personally offered to do a zrun for someone, but I told him he has to do the quests himself, and he has to pay me 5 mil for my time being taken up plus the fact that I'm forfeiting 5 mil pay from being on his account instead of my own. That poor kid wasn't sure if he could trust me, but he SURE TRUSTED going to a maplesomething.(you know what) site and then having his account HACKED and someone smega'ing on it thta he got 25k nx -.- ....funny how that works....people don't trust HONEST players but they DO trust scam sites? (FACEPALM). Poor kid lost all his money, steeiles and tobies and his wg...I was going to go to NLC to give him some icicles after he changed his pw, but after he changed it and came on again, never saw him again Anyway, be very careful ever trusting someone with a name like xijxxxxxijx or something equally bizarre.

I took 6 godly equips off, when he told me to be fast. So I was under a lot of pressure. When I look back at it, it seems really stupid of what I did. Any other ways to get cash?

Aw me too! I was just too stupid, paid 10m for it. We traded, and first AFTER he said that he had to get my account info to get me on a zrun. I did it. I didnt get 'stripped' only of my things with value. Which was only a 6 atk wg. haha. They must have hoped for something more... but the scammer had a nice/? friend that gave me my pin back. (They changed it) I asked the friend if they could. "Hey, can you tell me the pin. Its my own fault i got scammed, i know that. I was stupid. but i dont want to start over with absolutely nothing and having lost my fighter." Then he said that he thought i was nice, and gave me the new pin. :3 Of course, i changed the pin right after.
