Okay so I have a theory about God creating the world You know how God created the world in 7 days ? I think we have been taking it too literal What if it meant phases of creation not literally 7 days o.o If this is true, then that means that the scientific theories are true and God did create the world What do you guys think ?

DanAikido : We have enough forces fighting science. Disease, crime, and mysteries like our universe. Um... correct me if I'm wrong... but isn't that what science is trying to prevent/explain? O.O

I didn't read all the pages as I'm far too tired so idk if anyone posted anything like this yet but this is what I believe as of now as pertaining to the days of creation. "The chronology which one often finds in the marginal columns of many of the older bibles, notably the authorized version of King James, is not a part of the bible itself. It is the work of archbishop James Ussher,an illustrious prelate of the irish church, who lived from A.D. 1580-1656. His chronological labors were directed toward affording an idea of the time that elapsed between certain events in recorded history. For this purpose he took the year 1 A.D. -The beginning of the Christian era- as his starting point, and calculated backwards as far as reliable recorded history afforded good working ground. He reckoned back as far as 4000 B.C., and then, finding no more available material in the form of history, either written or inscribed, he had to stop. He did not mean to imply that he had reached the point of creation at all. On the contrary, he had simply gone as far as recorded history had enabled him to go."

EatingPie : That brings me back to my original point, progress can only be made if two forces are fighting each other. Albert Einstein also said something like this, Science can bring the best out of us. It can also destroy us. Progressing too fast is just as bad as not progressing at all. I notice how they only reported on the cases where the children died, not the ones that survived....... the news is biased if you haven't figured that out. dude, why do you think life expectancy has increased? prayer doesn't make us live longer MODERN MEDICINE does.

AnsatsushaxD : The Big Bang theory is like the theory how God created the world except that the matter was finite not infinite like God Both theories state that the whole world was created by a single The reason why the two theories get mocked so much is because there is one simple question: "Where did the thing that created this world come from then ? " No. The big bang theory is not like the hypothesis that god created everything. Why? Because you can't test it and no evidence exists to support it. Without both of these, god will never be a theory.

Sumwun : o.0 So you're saying that denying medicine to sick people because *some*, probably less than 1% recovered? If I'm not mistaken, the children is under the custody of the parents, and it is up to the parent to decide what is best for their child/children. Personally, I don't agree with the verdict, since medicine could be explained as the work of "God". However, the parents that lost their children should learn from their mistakes, eh? As should we. NXJon : dude, why do you think life expectancy has increased? prayer doesn't make us live longer MODERN MEDICINE does. It has also been seen that prayer brings back patients from the brink, where modern medicine does not. People call it the will of "God". I call it the persons will to live.

DanAikido : We have enough forces fighting science. Disease, crime, and mysteries like our universe. The spread of disease and crime is largely attributed as a byproduct of human beings. The thing is, we are the only living organisms on our planet (and the entire world, as far as we know) to even come up with the concept of "science". So you could say that science itself faces no enemies. The only thing that affects it is ourselves. Another thing is, mysteries in our universe is what drives human beings to seek and learn more. Science is a way for humans to better understand the vast world around us, and this is driven by our curiosity. Mysteries do not hinder science, but rather, provoke thought; thus promoting science.

@Sumwun, you're wrong. Scientific theory: The grandest synthesis of a large and important body of information about some related group of natural phenomena Scientific law: A set of observed regularities expressed in a concise verbal or mathematical statement A scientific theory is an explanation relating a set of scientific laws

So a couple of idiots killing "their child", as you say it(I find it disgusting how you imply she was their property or something) is just a mistake they can learn from? Honestly, if you think that way, I hope you never have children.
