A question about Strengthening Crystals

| Hello Basil and good morning Well earlier today I was looking around the FM to buy some items needed to forge the certain mage equipment I needed. So I gathered all the things, and I started off by strengthening a normal Basic Wisdom Crystal, the one that adds only 2 INT. I had 2 of them, so I proceeded to strengthen the other, when I came across something weird. I looked at my Wisdom Crystals and they both came out to be Intermediate Wisdom Crystals, the ones that add 3+ INT, and I wondered what was going on because I had chose to make a Basic Crystal, not an Intermediate one. My question is basically how did this happen? Unless I was looking at everything wrong, I thought you needed 10 Basic Crystals in order to forge a Intermediate one, right? Is this a glitch of some sort or I don't know... Thank you for your help and have a nice day~ ExtravaGabe |

| something like that happend to me too. but it was a monster who was 5x shoulda made a basic monster chrystal2 but it came out to be a basic mon chrystal 3 it was wierd |

| I think it's a random thing, since its like a 40% (?) chance of making an intermediate. If you tried to make a basic, you could've came out with an advanced. |

| l33tfl1p : something like that happend to me too. but it was a moster who was 5x shoulda made a basic monster chrystal2 but it came out to be a basic mon chrystal 3 it was wierd That isn't exactly answering my question, but uhm that happens to me also, sometimes when I gather ETC from Newtie's I'd get a Advanced Crystal 3. @Above : Do you know what I was thinking when that happened, I thought that if you strengthen 2 crystals at the same time, one after the other only then it would happen. Guess not, didn't know the strengthening was by a % calculation. |

| You have 75% chance of making a basic jewel if you select basic jewel, 20% chance of intermediate and 5% chance of advanced. Consider yourself lucky. |

| Have you guys read the quest when u got the skill? lol it says that when you create or streignthen a crystal there is a chance of making it stronger out of 30 saphires i got 4 advanced 9 intermediate and 17 basic |

| Its around 70% chance making a basic (with a normal crystal), 20-25% intermediate and 5-10% chance making a Advanced crystal. |

Every strenghtening has 75% chance of basic, 20% chance of intermediate and 5% of advanced, the chances don't increase the more jewels you strengthen. I do recall that if you have a high amount of hands, the chances of getting better jewels is higher (when upgrading). |
