Are you people from around the Vancouver area annoyed? I know the Olympics are coming, and thats really good, but it kinda sucks that the towns around Vancouver do not get school off during the olympics. It also annoys me that private schools get the olympics off, as well as they get snow days when there is less than a foot of snow, when we public school people dont get school off in 3 feet of snow. And also, some of the events are taking place inside the towns around vancouver, like the speed skating oval in Richmond ( coulda been in Burnaby, but our mayor didnt want it!) Do you guys find this kind of annoying. I believe the whole lower mainland should be off school, since the olympics wont be back in Vancouver. Tell me your thoughts. Edit: Im not mad about the olympics coming, i just think that public schools should be able to get off school during the olympics. My cousins are coming to visit. Edit: Where can you apply to volunteer?

Where do you apply to be a volunteer, i really want to be one. But someone told me the age is minimun 18, but if its 15 ill sign up right away

Not sure about Canada, but taxes pay for our school and...we can't waste our days, I suppose. Private schools got the money to do what they want, =/
