What happened between Sleepywood and Basilmarket?

I'm a avid user of both communities and I was curious of the details. From what I heard on Sleepywood, Basil and SW were becoming affiliates and the plan fell through. Discuss!

I can see where they're coming from by the immaturity part on Basilmarket because the General Maplestory Section is a lot less mature than the chat section we post on. It's very difficult to say either are more mature than the other because there are a lot of sections where maturity levels are different. Basilmarket is a lot less strict on the rules I'd have to say. Anybody who says otherwise would be wrong because the many forums I have visited were much more enforced than basilmarket, and if you agree with another user you could be banned ("useless post"). From what I hear, Sleepwood would suspend you for making an error in your posts which is unfair for many people who don't have English as a first language, such as myself. Drama on this site is awful, however Maplestory drama is even worse. I've also heard my rumors about the owner Adura who he seems more of a corrupt leader than a site admin. Not entirely sure if it's true, but I hear he appoints the worst moderators ever there. In the end I would have to say I prefer Basilmarket, but no site is superior than the other.

Also, you can get banned for defending yourself against flamers, and sometimes the mods refuse to suspend any flamers in your threads

Sleepywood had many people who joined way eariler, like at the start of GMS. There's heaps of 170+ and really high leveleed people, like 130-140+, and I've never seen a troll or flamer. Sleepywood is more only for MapleStory information and stuff, like people use it for that. Their chat section is that active, I think. Basil on the other hand has heaps of quitters who just come to post. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Sleepywood is where all the pros congregate to talk about how they just scrolled a 6/7 30%s only to have the last one blow it up. And organize zakum runs and everything. Basil is more easy going imo in the general section, where people can ask more simple questions, chat section is more fun than whatever goes on in sleepywood.

Although Sleepywood is a database for maplestory and claims to be more mature� that is not true, but a lie. It is merely baseless bandwagoning in order to try to make other people migrate to their forums The site has been scrutinized outside of their fourms and even inside the forums for their communist-like policies. The moderators, including Adura, are extremely ban happy, you can actually get banned if there is a thread with poor grammar, and if you say, please put more effort into your comment, try real words, and spacing. This is probably because the root admin (Adura) just promotes random people. The community sucks also, they are full of elitists and flamers. And you can actually get banned for defending yourself against these flamers. The rules are also too vauge, and can be frequently asserted in most situations you thought were not breaking any rules. Their auction system is actually overrated, it�s just some sub forum, there are better auction sites around. Many people who like Sleepywood and think its more mature than Basilmarket. However, this is not true, there was a thread in sleepywood once where someone posted SPAMMING TO GET 2000 POST COUNT. This thus invalidates their point, and brings out the theory they might just be naive bandwagoners (one even said Sleepywood is more mature but did not actually go to the forums herself) Example of Bandwagoning They also claim to control the zakum run times, but in fact, they control people who think they control the zakum run times. They will also flame you for being a noob due to stupid elitism. Ironically, if you make a thread flaming noobs, they will also flame you for being an elitist. Also... There is also the warning dispute zone, where you can dispute something but no one is allowed to see it, not even youself. You can�t even see your own replies to the dispute you made, allowing the moderators to pigeonhole (ignore completely). If you try making this dispute anywhere else you get banned. There is also a venting zone (burning zone), which you can vent about things, but you cannot show any names of who you are venting with, which ruins the whole point of a venting zone. The root admin also frequently derails threads with racist comments. There was a time when he derailed a new Latino MS thread with racism. There was mod that deleted it and got demoted, but that�s old news �Sleepywood, in short, is not any better than any other forum. Despite all assertions that they make
