| The chart taleko linked to is actually very easy to use provided you know a little information on the weapons you want to compare. To compare the carabella and RK you'd have to take the total attack of each weapon and compare them using the fast-4 vs fast-5 column of the chart. But assuming you do 16000/hit with the DS you'd do roughly 13900/hit with the RK and roughly 15100/hit with the carabella. DPM wise the RK and carabella are roughly equal (and better than the DS), but the more attack equips you get (ie apple) the better the RK looks in comparison. |

 | Neither one is really universally "better," it all depends on your set of priorities. For KB damage, for instance, the DS wins clearly, and for DPS, the RK wins almost as clearly (it's about a 5% advantage). If you don't worry about KB rate anymore (at 128 you shouldn't need to) then I personally tend to say DPS is a fairly good reflection of how quickly you'll average kills in training - it takes into account both your various possible hits needed to kill enemies (which varies in reality too much to say "1hko, 2hko," etc.) and attack speed. This is more than just damage or speed alone can do. xpedia is quite close, except that more realistically the RK would average a straight 14k rather than the 13900 - the 1.15 multiplier for 2h/1h conversion doesn't really work in practice unless you somehow have 0 dex with equips. |
