My dog is dying of cancer

My dog has been growing lethargic this past week, and she has difficulty walking and vomits everything she eats and drinks. She has lost a significant weight of around fifteen pounds. My family has to make the decision of whether to put her to sleep or let her die naturally. If we put her to sleep, of course she would die a painless death. My family is planning to put her to sleep on Friday. However, I'm still reluctant to have her put to sleep, but she barely gets any sleep and suffers from her pain. Personally, what would you guys do in this situation? Any experiences you want to share? I'm going to miss my dog. She lived a good thirteen years and eight months. ;_; EDIT: Well I guess I'll be ready on Friday to put my dog to sleep. Thank you all for sharing your experiences.

I'd put him/her to sleep asap...I wouldn't be able to stand seeing my dog like that, even if it meant I had to say goodbye sooner.

My cousins had a similar problem and they put their dog to sleep. It's so sad.
