r there summons good? if they are which one do you think is better at lvl 1 Gavotia or octopus?

I prefer Octopus to Gaviota although I find it's easier for me to just spam Burst. There's a reason I named my Gaviota "retard" instead of some cliche pokemon name like wingull.

Its really a matter of preference, the biggest argument to Gaviota is that it attacks randomly, can draw unwanted mobs, and is slow. But the pro's which is what I prefer over octo is that its instant cast, it doesn't have a big delay which actually slows down dps in my fighting situations like octo and its more powerful. So i prefer no delay over delay + not much better added dps. But you really do have to try it out for yourself to know for sure. I picked the fire/ice route and i kinda regret leaving gav at 30 now since I never use flame, but I do use gaviota in conjunction with air strike in a macro.

Gaviota at level 1 deals insta damage, has the the vision of like, a frog, seriously it flew FIVE TIMES OVER 1 MEMORY MONK, THEN HIT THE EYE OF TIME NEXT TO IT. Octo, however, just sits there and chills. And it hits like 3/4 times at L1 in the time limit.
