If you think this idea is stupid please explain in a thoughtful post rather than "that's stupid!" without explaining why. I also repeat - this wouldn't replace the current cards, only add variety to what's already there. My idea is for a 2x card that instead of having a set time of 4 hours, it has a set amount of xp that will give you double before disappearing. For example you could buy a card that doubles 10 million xp, and after you've earned 10 million xp from killing monsters it disappears. Now to be fair, lower levels need a lot less xp to level, so the card would have to scale based on your level, or else have a variety of cards for sale based on level. For example a 10 million xp card would not be usable by a level 5. There are several benefits to this type of card - 1) Convenience: Many times i don't want to play for 4 hours in a row for a 4 hour card, but would love to play for an hour and log off. The card I'm suggesting would allow you to log on play for however long you wanted and not "waste" your 2x card. 2) Where you train: There are times when I want to log on and train like crazy for the most xp i can get. But there are also times I'd like to work on quests, or farm a low level item or help someone out for fun. In these cases a 4 hour card would be completely wasted. However, my idea would allow you to still get full benefit of your 2x card even killing stuff that isn't good for your level, such as farming for money instead of pure xp. Of course there are also a few negatives to this type of card, however, I would suggest adding this type of card to what is already available not replacing the current setup. Depending on where you train, this card would be more expensive. If for example you can making 20 million xp in 4 hours on a 2x card, buying a 1 million xp card would be a total waste for you. This card would be completely worthless for low level chars (depending on how it was implemented). But very worth it for high 4th job people. But again that's the point of variety! EDIT: moving last paragraph to the front, since apparently people can't read.

I would rather see 2x cards that you can 'freeze' and stop using the 2x whenever you need to. It would only disappear once you've used the full 4h, though.

Sorry, but really bad idea. This is the worst idea I have ever heard since USA decided to invade Iraq.

I would want a 2 hour 2x card for 1k nx. 4 hours is just a big waste of time in my opinion.

I've thought of that also, but that is easily abused. For example you kill a bigfoot to 90% of his heath, then turn the card on, get 2x xp, then turn the card back off.

The reason Nexon would not do this is because they lose money. It's quite simple. Furthermore, the exp would not be beneficial towards all classes. For some, to earn 10million would take 6+ hours, while for others, it may take well under 3 hours. Also, if a card like this came out, there would be several ways to cheat the card. Think about having already earned 9.8million exp, you decide to go on a boss run to double the exp. I'm not saying I don't like the idea. I think it'd be very useful for players who like to go on breaks without feeling the pressure of the 4 hours ticking down.

this is one of the worst ideas i have heard also. nothing about this idea is good. I would also(like first poster said) to be able to stop a card when not using it. so that way you get all 4hours worth

Maybe you missed that part. dexlesh0b0 : The reason Nexon would not do this is because they lose money. It's quite simple. Furthermore, the exp would not be beneficial towards all classes. Not necessarily. They might make up for "lost sales" by selling enough of these cards to people who wouldn't normally buy a 4 hour card due to the time restrictions. In regards to not being the same for all classes, there is nothing stopping people from only buying 4 hour cards instead of this. I made it explicitly clear that these wouldn't replace 4 hour cards, only give shoppers a choice.

I don't like this idea... Having different increments of time is better.
