Do event items inflate at all?

So I have been thinking of saving my 5dex6luk agent earrings for a few months, but I have no clue whether or not they will inflate. Those cat ears from last Halloween Necomini or whatever are basically rare now and go for a hefty price. While the maplemas tree, vermas cactus, toymaker stuff, and a few others barely even gone up in price. So what should I do? D:

Well the christmas stuff happens annually, so thats why those don't go up, but I can see those earrings going up in a month or two.
