Sep 2 Update - Possible fix Some of you have experienced your webpage being redirected to another site that resembles your computer telling you that you have a virus/trojan and action is required. We believe this to be a trojan/malware issue that isn't related to our site even though it may appear on our site. Original Notice Hello Basilers, The latest word from our ad provider is that many top sites (ie, CNN and Youtube amongst others) are experiencing similar issues. As you can imagine the problem is being investigated aggresively. Your Patience I understand full well that not everyone loves ads. Issues like this make them even less palatable. However, I know that most of you understand that ads are required to pay for the servers that host BasilMarket. Most of the ads we feature are not click-based, which means that by simply letting the ad show (ie, NOT using an ad blocker) we earn us a little money which greatly helps pay for the servers. We would appreciate your patience as we work to resolve this issue and appreciate your understanding and continued support. Thank you!

Honestly, keyloggers and spyware and all that kind of stuff have always been my worst nightmares. How can I tell if there is spyware on my computer? PLEASE ANYONE =(

I do not block adds, I block scripts from untrustworthy sites. Sadly that includes many of the places that host ads for you. Have you considered making your own adserver? I think this might be related to the hack that inserted hostile advertisements in wordpress blogs. Not that it's the same security breach, but that it was done for the same reasons.

luchito29 : I never had this problem, why? Me either. As long as you stay away from sites like maplenx(dot)tk or what ever those smega noobs are talking about for "free nx." That leads to viruses/spyware and then your account getting "hacked." You just gotta be smart about where you browse on the interwebz.

I'm wondering why after all these years that Basilmarket has never had the option for donations. With all the money people waste on NX, I'm sure they can spare some to help make Basilmarket a better place.
