How to fix the lag and the HackShield's error problems.

...and God reached down from the heavens and said, "Thy inbox will stop being flooded." For the lag: 1. Find your modem (and router, if you have one) 2. Unplug the modem (and router) and wait for about 2 minutes. 3. After the two minutes, plug it back in. 4. Go on MapleStory, without lag. *Note: This has only worked for half the people who have PM'd me. If it doesn't for you, but you find a different method, please tell me. You will be credited. For the HackShield errors: 1. Download the HSHeild folder that Nexon provides either from their download link or my download link , for those of you who can't download from the first one. 2. Navigate to C:/Nexon/MapleStory, which can be found by going to Start -> My Computer -> Nexon -> MapleStory. 3. Delete the HShield folder in there. If it's not there, that's good too. 4. Inside HShield.zip, take the HShield folder, and drag it into your MapleStory folder. 5. Close both HShield.zip and your MapleStory folder. 6. Run MapleStory. If you have error 0x30000030 (805306416), it's either your firewall or antivirus. Try disabling both of those to see if the error is corrected. * Thanks to omiohmy for reminding me about that error *Note: This has worked for most people who have came to me for help, if it doesn't work for you, just let me know.

Just a note of suggestion: for error 0x30000030 (805306416), it's either the firewall OR the antivirus. Either or could be blocking and I didn't know until I deleted it ~.~

NightSin22 : All that will do is possibly change the IP address and reset the nat/dmz firewalls. Yes, and decrease the load on your internet. It's like when your computer is low on RAM. You restart the computer, and it's faster than it just was. Same thing applies.

That's because all drivers are unloaded on reboot and almost all memory is deallocated. The same concept does not apply.

PuppyKevin : It does apply, all connections are nulled once the modem restarts. all connections can be ended without restarting the router or the modem. all it takes are a few requests to close open and active sockets. anyway, that way is simpler.
