Whenever you have the accuracy to kill it. It doesn't heal or deal massive damage, so you should be fine as long as you don't miss 99% of the time.

Do the dojo monsters have the same stats as the real ones? Because then you could just go to the dojo and fight your way to Mushmom and find out for yourself.
