Teens are prone to pimples. It is all due to the evil pimple fairy. She was once a beautiful creature until Puberty, the evil fairy grew jealous. Puberty decided to give the fairy pimples. And thus from that day on she spread her dismay, giving all teens pimples. So here's how to prevent them and treat them. (No I will not cover how the evil pimple fairy does not know about this) The basics Things helpful to prevent pimples Regular washing of the face ( As it clears the dirt, dead skin, excess oils) Not applying too much makeup to pimple prone skin. Such as the fore head. Some, if not most makeup have sharp chemicals that irritate the skin. If you like wearing it try some water-resistant ones. Proper diet. Cutting back on those chips will help or at least try healthier alternatives. Or try and equal out an evil with lots of water. It's essential to drink at 8 glasses of water. Of course not everyone is that determined. If not, just have a cup of clear water with you when your on the comp and take a sip every few minutes. Avoid all foods containing trans-fatty acids, such as milk, milk products, cookies, chips, margarine, chocolate, shortening and hydrogenated oils. Other causes are deficiencies in zinc, vitamin A, and essential fatty acids. Another unconfirmed fact is that if there are pimples under your chin it could be related to your digestive tract. Treating your pimples. I have absolutely no information about actual medications/expensive products. The home remedy way Egg whites left on the face to dry(15min), then washed Aprox price: 70 cents for an egg Honey on the face (Never tried it but I hear it kills the bacteria on the face and leaves it soft) Aprox price: 3.50 Tooth paste. Not really good for your skin since it dries it out. But it works. Aprox price: 3-5 dollars Cucumber mashed into a paste and left on the face Aprox price: A few cents. Green tea. I have no tried this but apparently it "can serve many purposes, and it is recommended for a number of reasons. It acts as an anti-bacterial substance, decreasing hormonal activity. Since acne is often caused by hormones, which produce excess oil and clog pores, thereby causing blemishes, green tea could be a good remedy for this problem" Natural products: Witch Hazel: Can be found almost anywhere. It's from an actual plant so I guess it classifies as natural. Witch hazel works on bruises, swelling and insect stings. It also acts as a toner for skin, skin cleanser and pimple-help Aprox price: 2.99 Vitamin E Oil/Tablet: Vitamin E is very good for the skin(go wiki it lazy bums) It helps hide stretch marks, wrinkles and pimples/pimple scars. It's a bit expensive(but it's natural and lasts long) 100 ml is aprox 10 bucks. You only use about 5 ml per use though. ALSO HELPS ON CRATERS. Or so I've heard. This is mostly based from my knowledge and experience so I'm not some doctor and if I've got any information wrong tell me about it. I might do some other hygeine-like threads if people need them

magixren : Only food proven to cause acne or those that may contain hormones. such as Milk and low-grade meat. o_O It is strongly believed that the most common cause of acne is caused by using dairy products including pasteurized milk, cheese, cheddar cheese, goat's milk, cow's milk, margarine, yogurt (curd), cream etc. Other than dairy products following foods have also been reported causing food allergy to different people: Wheat and wheat products such as biscuits etc. White flour and refined flour Red meat (beef, lamb) Spicy food Rice Ready meals Caffeine Alcohol Candy Chocolate Eggs Garlic Mushroom Broccoli Pumpkin Oyster Corn Gluten Blueberry Cranberry Brewer's Yeast Baker's Yeast Pineapple Spelt Wheat Bran Sesame etc. I love my copypasta.

SUMMARY!: GO TO THE DERMATOLOGIST! Nope, I asked the dermatologist. What you eat has nothing to do with your skin. Such as Peanut Butter being that they use a lot of Vegatable oil to create it.

DarkBlight : SUMMARY!: GO TO THE DERMATOLOGIST! Nope, I asked the dermatologist. What you eat has nothing to do with your skin. Such as Peanut Butter being that they use a lot of Vegatable oil to create it. No. I think what your dermatologist said is variable to different people. If I have my fill of fats and candy for days on end (Obviously I'm a mild case) I start to break out in little zits. "Most people have experienced a break out after binging on junk food or fast food, most of which is high in fat, sugar, carbohydrates, and oils. In order to stop break outs associated with eating this unhealthy food, begin to replace these items in your diet with foods that are natural and healthy." This at the very least was true for me. Edit: If you don't believe that you have to at least acknowledge that certain vitamins help the body (such as vitamin e). They help improve the skin. Food that are saturated in fat, but have no vitamins either way is not helping your body at all.
