Should 13-year-old girl be allowed to sail around the solo?

Read this first : http://today.msnbc.msn.com/id/32555374/ns/today-parenting_and_family/?gt1=43001 When I first heard about this I thought they where joking. Sins this became big news there are people who keep saying It�s unfair that a 13 year old is not allowed to make that decision, And that it�s a violation of our rights as free humans. I personally think this is insane a 13 year old no matter how talented could go on a 2 year sailing trip alone. I do feel kind of sorry for that judge, who had to decide, If he said no he would be the jerk who ruined a girls dream. If he said yes he would be the jerk who sends a 13 year old onto the sea alone. He said she should be tested, and now he is called the jerk that was too scared to actually �judge�. Still if it where up to me she could go, and as soon as something goes wrong it will show people that having dreams is great but just because it�s on national television it does not mean everything just going to be fine. This is my opinion what�s yours? Tell me if i made anny typing mistakes so i can change them. EDIT: I just heard that the Austrelia and new-zeeland gouverment are going to stop her if she actualy goes.
