I've been seeing many people saying stuff about 2012, I was wondering why they're talking specifically about that year. What's all the fuss about something about the world ending? If so, I doubt it'll happen. Just look at Y2K & 2006/6/6. People thought the world would end. Anyways, can anyone fill me in what this 2012 thing is? Thanks

Most believe it because the Mayan calendar ends on that day or something and scientists think the planets will align. Planet X will come out and be part of the alignment and there will be random tornadoes, hurricanes, and natural disasters. Some say a super volcano will erupt from Yellowstone and nuclear wars will start. but thats all poop. Just another false prediction.

It's when the Mayan calander ends and they have predicted other things in the past so people are worried that the world will end December 2012.

Sweetie : Some stupid superstitious thing about the Mayans or whatever predicting the world is going to end. It's like the Y2K thing, but for stupid people. The last 2 days I've been seeing this commercial about the twenty-twelve thing. It looked so real. My girlfriend had pointed out that it was a movie commercial. I knew there was going to be a 2012 movie, but didn't know that specific commercial was a movie preview.

I DONT BELEIVE IN THIS THE MAYAN CALENDAR was only one of the things that predicted this, there are lots of things, like the earth's poles with be dislocated and end up over north america because of the earth being in allignment with the sun and the center of the milky way.
