Which is better having a str top and dex bottom or just a dex overall? and why please =]

Get as much exchangeable dex as you can. As in the stuff you get from equips. In otherwords... I'd say the best is to get dex from equips, and put your actual AP on str.

top/bottom is much better in terms of attack. If you get a good top, say 20str and a good bottom, 16 dex, then it far outmatches a 2x-3x dex overall. Only use the overall if you need the acc.

sword and shield if you have enough money to get a good attack shield along with a good sword.

The best thing to do is what you prefer. If you choose the so-called "better" way as chosen by others, you might come to regret it later and not enjoy the game as much as you would've the other way. I personally prefer 2H cause they look way better, IMO. EDIT: Also, since skills for 1H and 2H swords all go in hand, it's easy to switch whenever you want. No need to worry really, just a matter of spending more or less mesos on either one.

decent attk shield is like 13+, godly would be 21+.

I'd say an Overall. A Bottom/Top has 7 slots each. 14 total. A 10% gives +3 to a stat. So 21str top 21 dex bottom for example. A Bottom has 10 slots and each 10% gives +5 to a stat. So 25 Str, 25 Dex Overall for example. So I think an overall has a greater potential using normal scrolls (top/bottom has the greatest potential if u use chaos scrolls but that would far too expensive).
