Well someone may have hid a virus in your MS file. That happened to SPORE for me.

MapleStory is known to have Anti-Virus think it's a virus, it's not, Just put it in your ignore list and play, it's probably just how MapleStory is coded or something.

its not that its a virus, but hshield acts like a trojan. it looks through all your running processes and sees if the are hacks. its fine, just allow it and play

That's essentially McAfee telling you that it's trying to look busy, but it admittedly doesn't know what the hell it's talking about. Artemis, or any other generic trojan, is more often than not, a false positive. In the future, use Avast! antivirus instead.

McAfee is quite known for this kind of thing.

I have the exact same problem as this guy. Any way to let the MapleStory.exe file stay, instead of being constantley deleted -.-?

Uhh, that trojan didnt originate in your MS folder, so its not MS causing the trojan. Some other part of your windows messed up and caused it.

Some other part of your windows messed up and caused it. agreed. but look at the file name (/map3e54.tmp) it seams suspiciously close to maple. make sure there are no root files in your nexon folder. id suggest to uninstall maple and delete the nexon folder from your hard drive then just reinstall it to be safe. it could be part of a keylogger. i have mcafee as well and i don't really trust it to quarantine everything properly.

Maplestory is packed with Themida to prevent us accessing some data for like Pizza Slices and all. That is why is comes up as a virus.

I got the same thing before, it's probably just some harmless trojan Maple uses to make sure you're not hacking.
MrJesus 08/27/09 + PM | QUOTE | PERMALINK | REPORT
