How do you kill Black Mage? i got owned 10 times in a row

Everytime I would get pass 50% i would to make sure she didn't have reflect on, but of all sudden she turn it on without any sort of pattern... How am i suppose to know when to attack her? she can randomly turn reflect on and instantly kill me...

WiZ4rDz4Lif3 : Nice nx. Umm do u have to beat her when your a 120 Cygnus? Yeah, she owned me so many times. Its not even funny. That one hit reflect kill is annoying as hell. Its so random. There is no pattern. You dont know when shes going to use it. After 10 tires i still haven't seen a pattern.

Yeah , it took me three tries to kill black witch , not black mage. first try, i didnt know about reflect, second try, my ifrit accidently hit it during reflect and third try, i was being cautious, so i didnt die. For the first 50% of it's hp, i tele casted with firestrike, it was less pot burn than meteor sniping it and faster. Slow also helps during the fight with her @_@ so be sure to use it if you have it. when it goes under 50% , dont use ifrit anymore and watch it for reflect > < it's pretty random when reflect comes, so dont spam fire strike or meteor without looking at her. i waited a few seconds each attack ( because i was very very very cautious D: ) edit ; when it went under 50% , i sniped it with meteor (hehe) BY THE WAY, she has 9.3m HP i believe

SoySauceee : I look at her constantly it always seems she turns on the reflect right before i attack. antrulz : what does reflect do? She can turn it on randomly and when you attack her you instantly die. Its hard, because it seems she can turn it on anytime, Attacking/Walking. *So it seems there is a pattern? She doesn't turn it on when shes walking? and 4th Job skill books? LOL?

She reflects 5% of the damage you deal back to yourself I think. Problem is that Magic Guard doesn't guard you from 80% of the damage of that 5%.

she doesn't turn on reflect when she's moving. i know that for sure. also, reflect doesnt mean one hit KO, it depends on how much damage you do >< like if you do anything over 10k , it would be 1hit KO, the moment you hit her when she has reflect on, think of it as a ball when its thrown at a wall ._.

Ok so when shes walking she won't turn it on... That seems to be a pattern ill go try that out tomorrow.
