Help! Is this a virus?

This ad came up saying it was a virus scanner, is it a virus? D= It happened on my dad's laptop too, and he won't be the happiest with me if I screwed up his computer. EDIT:Wait a minute, I didn't download it, it just came, do I still have a virus?

if you cross the ad out right away, then you wont have any virus, if you download something, then that might be a virus that you downloaded

I believe it is, my friends have said that if you click the box at all it will start downloading viruses, best of luck to you if you clicked it.

I didn't click it, it just changed the page to that page.

Press Alt f4 to aviod getting a virus. Only when the virus thing is on the screen. (Not trying to trick him into doing it to a windows T.T)

heh happned to me its not real finally figured 1. Because their scaring you into thinking you have a virus 2. The fake virus scanner dosent work making you panic 3.Most likely youll get a knew scanner and upload all this junk P.s i was freaking out till a friend told me

I've come across some ads that pretend to scan your computer, then say that you have tons of viruses and then starts a download for their so called antispyware. If it's only on the internet you're fine. If you're on your desktop with nothing else open to begin with, than you've got a virus

I think it is. Same thing happened to me yesterday. I was on basil and this ad came up talking about Personal Antivirus, and it said that I had a crap load of trojans, and worms. This thing kept coming, and popping up on the bottom of the screen saying that I had trojans and worms. I just did a ssytem restore and sent it back to a previous date, now it seems fine.

I'm an idiot. There was something like that called Personal Antivirus and i downloaded it...then I called my friend to help and he removed it :D THX AARON! (Poison987)

I had the same thing... I downloaded it... ran a virus scan, deleted it, rebooted my laptop, and -pop- all gone xD
