Is flame gear still effective after the patch

My original plan was to get to lvl 76, raising flame gear, and train at himes. Will I still be able to hit himes monsters after the acc patch added in the next patch? Of not, should I go fire strike instead?

Even at level 80ish, you should be able to hit himes. My level 70 priest was hitting them about 80% of the time with heal.

Just wait and see, nobody knows for sure if they're adding the formula or not. I don't see why people need to know things so early.
